Basketball Recap: Havana Drops Season-High Score on West Central Co-Op [Winchester-Bluffs]

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Havana). They walked away with a 60-50 win over the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Ducks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Havana got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ava Kramer out in front who went 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Maggie French, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 15 points and five rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Havana was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Havana and bumps their season record up to 5-1. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Havana has already played their next contest, a 42-27 victory against Elmwood on the 8th. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-38 defeat against Triopia/Meredosia-Chambersburg/Virginia on the 8th.
