Volleyball Recap: Lyman Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Lyman kicked off their season on the road on Wednesday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Lake Buena Vista Vipers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Lyman might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Lake Buena Vista: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-22, 15-13.

Lake Buena Vista pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lyman will take on Altamonte Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Buena Vista, they will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
