Volleyball Recap: Spring Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Spring Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Churchill County Greenwave, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Ava Cauley paced Spring Creek's offense, picking up five kills. Cauley got some help from Yahaira Lomeli and her eight assists. Cauley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Destinee Tapia was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted two assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Spring Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Churchill County, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8.

Spring Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Lowry on the 3rd. As for Churchill County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Douglas on the 7th.
