Basketball Game Preview: Taylorsville Warriors vs. Cyprus Pirates

Taylorsville is on a four-game streak of home losses, Cyprus a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Taylorsville Warriors will welcome the Cyprus Pirates at 7:00 p.m. Taylorsville will be strutting in after a victory while Cyprus will be coming in after a loss.

Taylorsville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Kearns by a score of 53-44 on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Cyprus was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 41-37 to Hunter.

Cyprus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Taylorsville, their victory bumped their record up to 3-9.

Taylorsville came up short against Cyprus in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 55-46. Thankfully for Taylorsville, Tamila Francis (who went 6 of 14 on her way to 24 points along with seven boards and seven steals) won't be suiting up this time.
