Creekside put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the M.L. King Lions 69-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Seminoles' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Lions are ranked 189th).
Creekside's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cayden Benson, who threw for 173 yards and four TDs while completing 73.9% of his passes. The Seminoles' leading receiver Damien Henderson was Benson's top target yet again, picking up 96 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
Creekside was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 204 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 194 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
Creekside didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ayden Alexander and Sean Williams. Alexander got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Creekside's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for M.L. King, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.
