Volleyball Recap: Peninsula Seahawks vs. Lincoln Abes
After flying high against Mount Tahoma on Monday, Peninsula came back down to earth. The Seahawks lost 3-0 to the Lincoln Abes on Wednesday. The Seahawks were not able to make up for their loss to the Abes from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-14, 25-19.
Leading Lincoln to victory were Avary Liotti and Mady Sio-Fetaui. Liotti had four digs and two aces, while Sio-Fetaui had seven digs. Liotti is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.
Peninsula dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Lincoln, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Peninsula will face off against rival Central Kitsap at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lincoln is set to challenge their familiar foe North Thurston at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
