Basketball Game Preview: Rockingham County Cougars vs. South Stokes Sauras

The Rockingham County Cougars and the South Stokes Sauras will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Rockingham County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Rockingham County is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Reidsville 74-34 on Friday. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 37 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, South Stokes strolled past Alleghany with points to spare last Friday, taking the game 50-33.

Rockingham County pushed their record up to 9-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.0 points per game. As for South Stokes, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Rockingham County beat South Stokes 55-45 in their previous meeting on December 4th. Will Rockingham County repeat their success, or does South Stokes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
