Basketball Recap: Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Victorious

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot won the last time they faced Tidewater Academy, and Taylor Hamner did his part to make sure it happened again. The Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights breezed by the Tidewater Academy Warriors to the tune of 78-43 on Tuesday thanks in part to Hamner, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 23 points and eight boards. His evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Despite the defeat, Tidewater Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aydan Phillips posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Danny Starnes, who earned eight points.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Tidewater Academy, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
