Soccer Recap: Cary-Grove Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cary-Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 6-1 to the Cristo Rey St. Martin CRSM. While losing is never fun, Cary-Grove can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while Cristo Rey St. Martin are ranked 68th).

Cary-Grove's goal came courtesy of Theo Demas, which was the first he's scored this season.

Cary-Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, their win bumped their record up to 5-1-1.

Looking ahead, Cary-Grove will head out on the road to face off against Deerfield at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Cristo Rey St. Martin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Wheaton Academy at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
