Basketball Game Preview: Holmes County Blue Devils vs. Blountstown Tigers

Holmes County and Blountstown are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2016, but not for long. Having just played yesterday, the Holmes County Blue Devils will get right back to it and host the Blountstown Tigers at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Holmes County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Monday, it was close, but Holmes County sidestepped Poplar Springs for a 40-38 win.

Meanwhile, Blountstown didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Bozeman on Friday, but they still walked away with a 70-66 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Blountstown found their leader in freshman Cyion Smith, who went 10 of 15 on his way to 23 points in addition to eight boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Braxton Sercye, who went 7 for 11 on his way to 14 points and five boards.

Blountstown's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Holmes County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Everything went Holmes County's way against Blountstown in their previous meeting back in January of 2019, as Holmes County made off with a 52-32 win. Does Holmes County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Blountstown turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
