Softball Recap: Filer Takes a Loss

Filer was the 7-4 winner over Buhl when they last played one another on Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Wildcats fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-3 on Monday.

Filer saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Smith, who went 3-for-4 with one home run and one double. Heidi Winegar was another, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Filer's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Buhl, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-7.

Coming up, Filer will welcome Jerome at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buhl, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kimberly at 4:00 p.m. on the 23rd.
