Preview: Union City Soaring Eagles vs. St. Joseph Falcons
The Union City Soaring Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the St. Joseph Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Joseph took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Union City, who comes in off a win.
Union City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 63-38 margin over Hillside. The victory was just what Union City needed coming off of a 70-43 loss in their prior contest.
St. Joseph has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 63-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Elizabeth on Saturday. While losing is never fun, St. Joseph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Elizabeth is ranked eighth).
Union City has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for St. Joseph, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-5 record this season.
