Baseball Recap: Imater Charter Falls Short of Miami Springs in the Playoffs

IMater Charter and Miami Springs squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but IMater Charter had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 6-0 to the Golden Hawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Luis Hernandez was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits.

IMater Charter's loss dropped their record down to 17-8-1. As for Miami Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season.

IMater Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Miami Springs, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 victory against Monsignor Pace on the 28th.
