Lakai Powell posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out five batters over five innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Powell and Washougal will take on Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last time Powell duked it out with the Beavers (back in April of 2024), the Panthers came out on top by a score of 8-3. Will another strong game from Powell be enough to do it again?
