Basketball Recap: Martinsville Continues Home Dominance on Thursday

There's no place like home for Martinsville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Edgewood Mustangs by a score of 47-35 on Thursday. This was payback for the Artesians, who suffered a 32-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Martinsville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jade Meade, who posted nine points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruby Murrell, who earned 15 points.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Macey Crider, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. Crider has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times she's played. Kyleigh Murphy was another key player, putting up five points.
