James Wood won the last time they faced Meridian and things went their way on Friday too. The Colonels enjoyed a cozy 41-22 victory over the Mustangs. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Colonels.

Owen Neal had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 178 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 74 yards and one touchdown while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: James Wood was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 229 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meridian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Duke Dawson, who rushed for 63 yards and one TD, and also picked up 40 receiving yards.
