Basketball Recap: Upper Arlington Takes a Loss

Upper Arlington lost against Olentangy Orange back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Upper Arlington Golden Bears received a blow as they fell 55-40 to the Olentangy Orange Pioneers. While losing is never fun, the Golden Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 53rd, while the Pioneers are ranked second).

Upper Arlington's defeat dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Olentangy Orange, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Coming up, Upper Arlington will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pickerington North at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Pickerington North's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups. As for Olentangy Orange, they and Pickerington Central will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Pickerington Central is on a three-game streak of home wins, Olentangy Orange a 18-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season)-- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
