The Rocky Hill Terriers will face off against the Bristol Eastern Lancers at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
While Rocky Hill didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over South Windsor on Friday. The Terriers haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Lianna Tejada and Mia Cristalli did most of the damage at the plate: Tejada went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Cristalli went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Cristalli has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ally Killoran, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rocky Hill kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Bristol Eastern strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on RHAM with a sharp 19-7 win.
Hailey Beebe made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. Beebe was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Bristol Eastern got a massive performance out of Emily Valentine, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and four runs. Gracie Brown was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases.
Bristol Eastern pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Rocky Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rocky Hill has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 8.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bristol Eastern struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rocky Hill beat Bristol Eastern 6-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2023. Will the Terriers repeat their success, or do the Lancers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
