Football Recap: Titusville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Titusville dropped to 3-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the Merritt Island Mustangs by a score of 31-28. The Terriers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

As for Merritt Island, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Titusville since October 14, 2016.

Leading Merritt Island to victory were Alain Adams and Kevin Verpaele. Adams rushed for 70 yards and two scores, while Verpaele threw for 144 yards and one TD.

Titusville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 42-0 win against Palm Bay on the 24th. As for Merritt Island, they have also already played their next matchup, a 24-14 defeat against Carrollwood Day on the 24th.
