Volleyball Recap: Fillmore Central Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Fillmore Central challenged Apple Valley on Saturday. The Falcons fell 2-0 to the Eagles. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Eagles when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kyla Hellickson paced Fillmore Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Hellickson got some help from Aubrey Daniels and her nine assists. Maddie Zwart controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

This is the second loss in a row for Fillmore Central and nudges their season record down to 6-2. As for Apple Valley, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fillmore Central will square off against Cotter at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Apple Valley, they will take on Farmington at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
