Softball Recap: Hampton County Comes Up Short

Hampton County lost against Barnwell on Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Hurricanes came up short against the Warhorses, falling 15-4. The game marked the Hurricanes' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hampton County dropped their record down to 2-3 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Barnwell, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Hampton County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 32-12 victory against Whale Branch on the 1st. As for Barnwell, they have also already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Edisto on the 1st.
