Football Game Preview: East Feliciana Tigers vs. Donaldsonville Tigers

East Feliciana will challenge Donaldsonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Feliciana will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Friday, East Feliciana didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Slaughter Community Charter, but they still walked away with a 16-10 victory.

Markus Cannon Jr and Makyle Cannon were among the main playmakers for East Feliciana as the former rushed for 35 yards and two scores and the latter gained 135 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: East Feliciana was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 231 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.

East Feliciana's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Matthew King. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.2 total tackles per game.

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last five games, Donaldsonville finally came back down to earth on Friday. They took a 21-7 bruising from Brusly. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

East Feliciana's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Donaldsonville, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

East Feliciana strolled past Donaldsonville when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 28-14. Will East Feliciana repeat their success, or does Donaldsonville has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
