Basketball Recap: Konawaena Comes Up Short

On Saturday, Konawaena faced Kamehameha Kapalama in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Konawaena Wildcats had to suffer through a 74-39 loss at the hands of the Kamehameha Kapalama Warriors. The Wildcats' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Konawaena's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Kamehameha Kapalama, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Kohala the next time they take the court. Kamehameha Kapalama will head out to face Kohala at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Konawaena will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025.
