Basketball Recap: Indian Trail Victorious

Indian Trail posted their closest victory since January 4th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the St. Catherine's Angels 64-62. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.

St. Catherine's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aniyah Price, who shot 4-for-5 from long range and almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Laila Collier-White, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 boards.

Indian Trail now has a winning record of 5-4. As for St. Catherine's, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Indian Trail will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Racine Case at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for St. Catherine's, they will welcome Catholic Central at 4:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. St. Catherine's is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.2 points per game this season.
