Basketball Recap: Smethport Takes a Loss

Smethport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Cameron County Raiders, falling 62-25. While losing is never fun, the Hubbers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 515th, while the Raiders are ranked 187th).

Smethport's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Cameron County, they pushed their record up to 3-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

Smethport has already played their next contest, a 56-42 defeat against Oswayo Valley on the 19th. Cameron County has also already played their next matchup (against Coudersport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
