Central and West County are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Rebels are taking a road trip to square off against the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Central 3.6, West County 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Central fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against North County on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 5-4. Rebels fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Raiders since on Thursday.

Meanwhile, West County waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Cougars. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.

West County pushed their record up to 21-2-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Central, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
