Marcellus lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Bishop Grimes, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's matchup. The Mustangs blew past the Cobras 12-2 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Gavin Foy made a splash no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Foy was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 4-for-4. Those runs were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Marcellus got a massive performance out of Nicholas Snyder, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Elijah Eaton was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Marcellus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Marcellus' victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for Bishop Grimes, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marcellus will head out to challenge Onondaga at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Bishop Grimes, they will challenge Christian Brothers Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
