Volleyball Recap: Brandon Nonnarath's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chavez over Mcnair

Chavez entered their matchup against McNair on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Titans lost 3-0 to the Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 two weeks ago.

While Chavez was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-23, 25-16.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Nonnarath, who had 16 digs and five kills. Nonnarath has been hot recently, having posted five or more kills the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Vang, who had 18 digs and two assists.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for McNair, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Chavez has already played their next game (against River Islands), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for McNair, they will be playing at home against Stagg at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
