Rains entered their tilt with Mount Vernon on Monday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 11-6. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Tigers back in March, they had to take a 7-6 defeat.

Rains' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.3 runs over those games. As for Mount Vernon, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-5-1.
