Volleyball Recap: Mechanicsburg Comes Up Short

Mechanicsburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Fairbanks Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Milee Severt paced Mechanicsburg's offense, picking up seven kills. Severt got some help from Sydnee Hurst and her 12 assists.

Mechanicsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Fairbanks, with the win, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 15-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mechanicsburg will host Greeneview at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairbanks, they will square off against West Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
