Baseball Recap: Mead Comes Up Short

Mead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Ridgeline Falcons, falling 10-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Friday.

Ethan Patsfield was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off five hits.

Mead's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Ridgeline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season.

Mead will take on Shadle Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Ridgeline, they will square off against Mt. Spokane at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
