Basketball Recap: Olympia Comes Up Short

Olympia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Pontiac Indians and fell 59-28. The Spartans were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in February of 2022.

Olympia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Pontiac, their victory bumped their record up to 9-16.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Olympia will take on Illini Central at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympia is facing Illini Central at the right time seeing as Illini Central is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Pontiac, they are taking a road trip to square off against Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
