Volleyball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

After flying high against Brush last Thursday, Roosevelt came back down to earth. The Rough Riders came up short against the Padua Franciscan Bruins on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-7, 25-9.

Padua Franciscan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ali Bradford led the charge by getting three digs and three aces. That's the most aces Bradford has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Giulia Reginelli, who had nine digs and two assists.

Roosevelt has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Padua Franciscan, they pushed their record up to 17-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Padua Franciscan, they will host Aurora at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
