Soccer Game Preview: Southern Nash vs. Roanoke Rapids

Southern Nash's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Franklinton by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southern Nash.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Roanoke Rapids was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They fell just short of Nash Central by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Roanoke Rapids came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Nash Central are ranked 207th).

Southern Nash's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six matches. As for Roanoke Rapids, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 15-1.
