Football Recap: Keystone Oaks Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Keystone Oaks unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Deer Lakes Lancers at home by a 23-7 margin on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Deer Lakes to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ryan Love, who rushed for 108 yards and one touchdown. Those 108 rushing yards gave Love a new career-high.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Keystone Oaks will host Quaker Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Lakes, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against South Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
