Basketball Game Preview: Gadsden Panthers vs. Centennial Hawks

Gadsden hasn't had much luck against Centennial recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Gadsden Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Centennial Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Gadsden is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 11th straight game on Thursday. They fell 62-52 to Alamogordo.

Meanwhile, Centennial played a tough match on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 74-51 to Las Cruces. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered against the Bulldawgs since February 15, 2022.

This is the second loss in a row for Centennial and nudges their season record down to 10-16. As for Gadsden, their loss dropped their record down to 5-20.

Gadsden ended up a good deal behind Centennial when the teams last played last Thursday, losing 59-45. Can Gadsden avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
