Basketball Recap: Peak to Peak Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Peak to Peak lost to Glenwood Springs back in December of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Peak to Peak Pumas skirted past the Glenwood Springs Demons 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Pumas have posted since December 1, 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Peak to Peak to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cole Boonstra, who posted eight points along with seven steals and six boards. That's the most steals Boonstra has posted since back in January. Nyima Chonden was another key player, going 6 for 8 on his way to 16 points.

Glenwood Springs lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jackson Wood, who put up nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamison Godfread, who had nine points.

Peak to Peak pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.4 points per game. As for Glenwood Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Peak to Peak didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-52 win against Basalt on the 14th. As for Glenwood Springs, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 67-46 loss against Wheat Ridge on the 14th.
