Basketball Recap: Four Straight Home Victories for North Garland

North Garland's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 58-50 win over the Sachse Mustangs. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Raiders as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddox Belino, who posted 11 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Hudgins, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 14 points and three steals.

North Garland's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Sachse, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, North Garland and Sachse will both be playing South Garland the next time they take the court. North Garland will head out to face South Garland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Sachse will host them at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th.
