Cypress Bay is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They blew past Taravella, posting a 64-7 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lightning considering their 20-point performance the game before.

Meanwhile, Western hadn't done well against Piper recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Everything went Western's way against Piper as Western made off with a 47-27 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Western has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.1 points per game. As for Cypress Bay, their win bumped their record up to 17-5.

Cypress Bay didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Western in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 50-44 victory.
