Baseball Recap: Point Loma Victorious

Point Loma posted their closest victory since March 21st on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Patrick Henry Patriots 4-3. For the Pointers, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 win the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Phoenix Brant made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Point Loma's record now sits at 11-3-1. As for Patrick Henry, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-6-1.

Point Loma will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
