Kaplan waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Central Catholic Eagles 14-2. The Pirates have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Kaplan's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kaplan will host New Iberia at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Kaplan is facing New Iberia at the right time seeing as New Iberia is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Central Catholic, they will welcome Thibodaux at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
