Baseball Recap: Middletown Takes a Loss

Middletown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Raphael Academy Saints. The Islanders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Saints from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Evan LeVasseur was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Middletown's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for St. Raphael Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middletown is set to face off against their familiar foe Toll Gate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Raphael Academy will take on rival Narragansett at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
