Volleyball Recap: Our Lady Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Taylor Henley and Madeline Piazza

Our Lady Academy was the 2-0 winner over Oak Grove when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Crescents fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Friday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Our Lady Academy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-20, 21-25, 17-15.

Our Lady Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Madeline Piazza and Taylor Henley. Piazza had 12 digs, while Henley hit 56.2% for 11 kills and eight digs and two blocks. Henley has been hot for a while, having posted six or more kills the last 13 times she's played.

Our Lady Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Oak Grove, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Our Lady Academy has already played their next contest (against Gulfport), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Oak Grove also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Bay.
