Baseball Game Preview: Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs vs. Tupelo Tigers

The Fort Cobb-Broxton Mustangs will square off against the Tupelo Tigers on Thursday. Fort Cobb-Broxton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Tupelo's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Fort Cobb-Broxton is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Elgin just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Owls by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since March 10th.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tupelo). They blew past Big Pasture 20-6 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Tigers, who have now won five games in a row.

Fort Cobb-Broxton's loss dropped their record down to 16-9. As for Tupelo, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
