Softball Recap: Lake Gibson Comes Up Short

After flying high against Discovery last Tuesday, Lake Gibson came back down to earth. The Lake Gibson Braves lost 11-1 to the Fort Meade Miners on Tuesday. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Miners recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Lake Gibson now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Fort Meade, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Lake Gibson will host Tenoroc at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lake Gibson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season. As for Fort Meade, they will venture away from home to square off against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
