There's no place like home for Whiting, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hammond Central Wolves on Tuesday. The Oilers haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Whiting's got stronger as the match went on, holding Hammond Central to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-23, 25-6.

Lyzett Lozano paced Whiting's offense, picking up eight kills. Lozano got some help from Andrea Cabrales and her 12 assists. Lozano was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Whiting's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Hammond Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
