Baseball Recap: Whitewater Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Whitewater's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Clinton Cougars. The contest marked the Whippets' most dominant victory of the season.

Connor Brummeyer was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Emmett Spear was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Whitewater's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-10. As for Clinton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Whitewater wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-3 loss against Edgerton on the 3rd. As for Clinton, they will face off against Big Foot at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Chiefs at the right time seeing as the Chiefs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
