Floyd Central waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Columbus North Bull Dogs. The Highlanders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bull Dogs, too.

Macy Sorg paced Floyd Central's offense, picking up seven kills. Sorg got some help from Lillie Furmall and her 20 assists. Finally, Riley Jackson kept Floyd Central's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Columbus North's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lexi Denny, who had 17 assists and five digs. Denny is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last 11 games she's played.

Floyd Central's victory bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Columbus North, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Floyd Central has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Brownstown Central on the 20th. As for Columbus North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Jennings County on the 20th.
