Football Recap: Orestimba Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Orestimba extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-6. They lost 38-13 to the Hughson Huskies. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 625th, while the Huskies are ranked 229th).

Despite the loss, Orestimba still got an impressive performance from Michael Maier, who rushed for 127 yards and two scores on only nine carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 65 yards.

As for Hughson, their record is now 7-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 23 points or more this season.

Eli Wilbanks produced another solid effort rushing for 102 yards and one touchdown. Lawson Aviles was another key player, rushing for 67 yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Orestimba is set to challenge their familiar foe Ripon Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hughson will face off against rival Hilmar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
