Baseball Recap: Fort Knox Comes Up Short

Fort Knox was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Raiders.

Eli Ortega was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Another player making a difference was Mannex Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Fort Knox's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Trinity, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Knox will take on Bardstown at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity, they will face off against Hopkins County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
